Grant praises Team

Chipolopolo Coach AVRAM GRANT has praised the team for showing resilience and putting up a fighting spirit in the 3-2 win over Sierra Leone.

GRANT says the display from last evening’s group G encounter played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium showed that the team has character and the determination to come back after giving away a lead.

In his post-match interview, the Chipolopolo Coach said he is happy that the team turned up despite missing key players.

GRANT has however bemoaned the kick off time stating that playing the game from 21:00 hours was not favorable for the team and the Football fans.

And Sierra Leone Coach AMIDU KARIM said he knew that playing away from home was going to be tricky but that he is proud of his players for giving Zambia a tough time.
