Nakonde to get airport

Transport and Logistics Minister FRANK TAYALI says the government has secured land in the Mwenzo area where a modern Airport will be constructed in Nakonde District.

Mr. TAYALI says works on the airport will soon start as the officers responsible are finalizing the drawings for the project.

He told ZNBC News that the decision to construct an airport in Nakonde is long overdue looking at its contributions to the country’s trade and commerce.

Mr. TAYALI said there will be no trade to talk about in Zambia unless there is improvement in air, road and rail transport among others.
