Police nab 136 Junkies

Police have apprehended 136 individuals in Lusaka’s criminal hotspots.

Police Spokesperson, RAE HAMOONGA says the operation is aimed at getting rid of criminal elements, commonly known as “junkies,” who have been terrorizing innocent citizens.

Mr HAMOONGA says operation forms part of the ongoing efforts by the police to ensure law and order in the city.

In an interview with ZNBC News, Mr HAMOONGA has also appealed to parents or guardians to practice good parenting so that children don’t end up abusing substances.
