Anti-Corruption Act to be reviewed

The Anti Corruption Commission -ACC- in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice has commenced the review of the Anti-Corruption Act.
ACC Acting Director General MONICA MWANSA says the review of the Act is aimed at enhancing and further strengthening the law on corruption and bringing it in line with provisions in the constitution.
Mrs. MWANSA has also urged youths not to be used as tools for corruption but to be the change in the community.
She said this during the Anti Corruption day commemoration held in Kabwe today.
And President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA, who was represented by Central Province Minister MWABASHIKE NKULUKUSA, has reaffirmed Government’s commitment to putting in place measures aimed at having a corrupt free nation.
Mr. NKULUKUSA said the Government has expanded the presence of the Anti Corruption Commission to enhance the fight against corruption.
Meanwhile Transparency International Zambia -TIZ- President PRISCILLA CHANSA has urged youths to dismantle systems that build corruption and replace them with initiatives rooted in fairness and transparency.
And Central Province Permanent Secretary MILNER MWANAKAMPWE said a generation rooted in integrity and education is key to the development of the country.
