Barrick Lumwana awards workers K3,000 Christmas Vouchers

Barrick Lumwana Mines has awarded its workforce a generous Christmas gift with each employee expected to receive a K3,000 ShopRite shopping voucher.

In a memo dated 13th December 2024 and obtained by ZNBC news, the Mine stated that the issuance of the cards will commence on  December 18, 2024 .

And reacting to the development, National Union of Miners and Allied Workers -NUMAW- President SAUL SIMUJIKA said the gesture is a testament to Barrick Lumwana’s commitment towards improving the welfare of employees and desire to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

Mr. SIMUJIKA said the vouchers will enable the workforce to purchase essential items and groceries for the holiday season, bringing joy and relief to their families.

He added that the workforce is overwhelmed with gratitude and praised Barrick Lumwana for its kindness and generosity.
