Over 160,000 people in Lusaka’s Bauleni Township are set to benefit from a $13.2 million Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene project.
The project, funded by the African Development Bank and implemented by the government, will also benefit Kabwe Town.
Some Bauleni residents have welcomed the water and sanitation initiative.
One of the residents, Mahongo Chibinga, says the project will address the water and sanitation challenges faced by the area.
She praised the government for selecting Bauleni for the implementation of the project.
Amos Chisha says the water and sanitation project has come at the right time.
Meanwhile, Judith Kapalongo explained that the project is critical, as it will enhance sanitation conditions in Bauleni.
