Bikers appeal for consideration from motorists
By Luwi Chanda
The Bikers Association of Zambia has called on motorists to be considerate of bikers on the road.
Association Chairperson STEVEN HANG’ANDU says the roads have become dangerous for bikers, due to lack of courtesy by some drivers.
He said this during a peaceful protest staged by some Motorbike riders after a colleague died on the spot after being hit by a vehicle.
JONATHAN CHOLA 30, was hit on Monday September 30th while he was talking to Police officers at a checkpoint along Mumbwa Road in Lusaka.
Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA has confirmed the death of Mr CHOLA to ZNBC News.
Mr HAMOONGA has however called on all road users to adhere to traffic regulations including the use of helmets and maintaining road standards.
