Bones of suspected small scale miner found at Sensele Mine

The Search team at Sensele Mine in Chingola have recovered bones belonging to unidentified small scale miner suspected to be among the over 30 who were trapped in December 2023.
Copperbelt Police Commissioner PEACEWELL MWEEMBA confirmed the development in a statement to ZNBC news in Kitwe last evening.
Mr. MWEEMBA said the recovery exercise took place yesterday at around 13:10 hours.
He said the remains have been deposited in Nchanga South Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem and burial.
Mr. MWEEMBA said the number of retrieved remains stands at 26 with one alive.
