BOWMAN LUSAMBO denied bail

The Economic and Financial Crimes Court has thrown out former Lusaka Province Minister, BOWMAN LUSAMBO’s bail application appeal on grounds that is lacks merit.
The verdict was passed by Economic and Financial Crimes Court Judges ANNE ONONUJU, VINCENT SILOKA and IAN MABBOLOBBOLO.
This comes after Mr. LUSAMBO’s appeal against the Subordinate Court’s denial of his bail application pending appeal in a matter where he has been incarcerated for corruption, tax evasion and possession of properties deemed to be proceeds of crime
Mr. LUSAMBO escalated his application to the Economic and Financial Crimes Court after Lusaka Magistrate FAIDES HAMAUNDU’s verdict not to admit him to bail pending appeal.
