The Zambia Police Service has moved former Lusaka Province Minister BOWMAN LUSAMBO to Luanshya District on the Copperbelt.
This follows Mr. LUSAMBO’s conviction in absentia and the issuance of a bench warrant by the Luanshya Magistrates Court.
Mr. LUSAMBO was convicted for the offence of unlawful wounding and he was moved to the mining town today.
In a statement issued to ZNBC News this evening, Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA said the move underscores the Service’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that court directives are followed meticulously.
