Buffaloes win volleyball Independence cup challenge

The Green Buffaloes Men’s and Women’s volleyball teams have been crowned 2024 ZAVA Independence Cup Challenge champions.
The male’s category Green Buffalos beat Nkwazi 3 – 1 to pocket a whopping 10,000 Kwacha, while Nkwazi walked away with a 5,000 Kwacha as runners up.
On the female side Buffalos won 3 – 0 against Chridgers as they also cashed in 10,000 Kwacha while Chridgers walked away with a 5,000 Kwacha as runners up.
Players BEATRICE Mwape from Chridgers and CHARLES AKANDELWA of Green Buffaloes where voted as the most valuable players with each getting 1,000 Kwacha each.
And, despite finishing in third position in both categories Red Arrows volleyball coach ENOCH MALASHA has praised the Volleyball Association of Zambia – ZAVA- for organizing the tournament and has further encouraged his players to stay focused and continue working hard.
Chridgers Coach RODGERS CHISHIMBA has expressed excitement about the teams performance while noting the areas for improvement.
By virtual of their victories Green Buffaloes Volleyball Club will represent the country at the Zone 6 Club championship to be held Botswana this December.
