Cash for Work extended to 1 year

Government has extended the cash for work program from six months to one year of implementation.

This has necessitated an increase to 4 billion Kwacha up from the initial 2 Billion Kwacha budget allocated for the program.

Local Government Permanent NICHOLAS PHIRI has confirmed stating that the increase is due to the overwhelming response the program has received.

Mr PHIRI told ZNBC News today, the cash for work initiative has also impacted a lot of people in the communities hence the decision to extend.
