Cash for Work starts in Mkushi, Shibuyunji
Government will spend 15 million Kwacha under the Cash for Work program in Central Province.
Central Province Permanent Secretary MILNER MWANAKAMPWE says the intervention aims to alleviate the impact of drought in the Province.
Dr. MWANAKAMPWE says the programme has since started in Shibuyunji and Mkushi Districts.
He has told ZNBC News that hundreds of youths in the province will be engaged under the program every two weeks.
Dr . MWANAKAPWE said the youths will be clearing bushes and drainages under cash for work.
And, Shibuyunji District Commissioner ALFRED SHAPUTU said the local authority is working with the Road Development Agency to engage locals under the cash for work program.
