By Martha Kanene
Over 596 youths are set to benefit from various Constituency Development Fund –CDF- sponsored programmes at Eden University.
Local Government and Rural Development Minister GARY NKOMBO has praised Eden University and other institutions for their pivotal role in equipping young people with practical, market-driven skills that foster self-employment.
Mr. NKOMBO says government is committed to maintaining high education standards, warning that institutions failing to meet accreditation and quality benchmarks will face closure, as evidenced by recent enforcement actions.
He was speaking in Lusaka at Eden University during the official launch of the University’s CDF funded programmes.
And Eden University Vice Chancellor ALVERT NG’ANDU revealed that the beneficiaries are from 16 districts across the country.
He said the initiative has a broad impact on national education and youth empowerment.
