CEC To Invest $500m Renewable Energy
Copperbelt Energy Corporation- CEC- will invest at least 500 million US dollars into renewable energy as well as power transmission.
CEC Chief Financial Officer MUTALE MUKUKA said this will be done between 2025 and 2027.
Speaking during a round table discussion at the Zambia International Mining and Energy Conference in Kitwe, Mr MUKUKA said CEC is allocating funds and aggressively making strategic investments.
He further said the energy company is also partnering with institutions such as ZESCO on projects.
He also said CEC is looking at how best to expand the interconnectors that are already available through regional integration.
