CEEC distributes 50 Solar hammer mills in Kasempa

Small and Medium Enterprise Permanent secretary SUBETO MUTELO says the Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission CEEC has distributed over 50 solar hammer mills to cooperatives in Kasempa district of north western Province.
And, Ms. MUTELO has also disclosed that CEEC has distributed drip irrigation systems to small scale farmers in Kasempa in order for them to have continuous production of maize amid the drought.
She says the government wants SMEs and small scale farmers to cultivate winter maize throughout the year.
Ms. MUTELO has told ZNBC News in an interview in north western Province that small scale farmers must capitalize on the endowments of each province and increase crop production.
