CHABINGA: MPs already agreed on key issues
By Ruth Chayinda
Leader of the Opposition ROBERT CHABINGA says it is shocking that there is a debate about amending the constitution when the Members of Parliament agreed on contentious issues that need to be addressed.
Mr. CHABINGA says parliamentarians had identified contentious issues in the constitution that required to be amended as they were problematic.
The leader of the opposition said this in the United States when he paid a Courtesy call on Zambia’s Ambassador to Washington CHIBAMBA KANYAMA and the Embassy Staff.
Mr. CHABINGA is surprised that some MPs can denounce the delimitation exercise as proposed when it is meant to achieve equal development and distribution of resources once huge constituencies are cut in two.
Mr. CHABINGA is in the USA on the invitation from the African Diaspora where he is going to deliver a keynote address at the conference in Los Angeles.
