Chasefu Man Defiles Niece while Wife is Expecting
Police in Chasefu District, Eastern Province, have arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly defiling his 6-year-old niece.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba says the incident happened between 11:00 hours on Tuesday and 15:00 hours on Wednesday when his wife was expecting at Lundazi District Hospital.
Mr. Mweemba said the suspect, identified as Pasikani Ng’ona, took advantage of the absence of the victim’s mother to commit the crime.
He says the suspect had carnal knowledge of the victim when she was sent to give him nshima in his house.
The victim sustained cuts and was bleeding from the private parts.
