Chief Chizela Backs calls for Constitutional Amendments

(ZANIS)Chief CHIZELA of Mufumbwe district has endorsed calls by government to amend the Zambian Constitution.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS, Chief CHIZELA’s Spokesperson, LAPSON SAMOLA, welcomed the proposal for delimitation of vast constituencies, stating that the process has been long overdue.

The traditional leader said delimitation of vast constituencies like Mufumbwe will help speed up development.

Meanwhile, Mufumbwe Community Health and Development Programmes Director, ABEL KAKEWU has urged government to ensure that the proposed amendments be published in the government gazette as a starting point for transparency in the process.
