Chief Machiya Backs Delimitations Process
Chief MACHIYA of Mpongwe District on the Copperbelt province says the proposed delimitation process will ensure that all Zambians benefit from government programmes.
The traditional leader says the delimitation will help deliver development closer to the people who are being disadvantaged due to the vastness of some constituencies.
Chief MACHIYA has since praised the UPND Government for the proposal, saying utilization of government programmes such as the Constituency Development Funds – CDF – will be more efficient once large constituencies are delimited.
He called on traditional leaders to sensitize their subjects on the benefits that will come with the delimitation exercise.
