
Chililabombwe Achieves 100% Cholera Vaccination Target

Authorities in Chililabombwe District on the Copperbelt have vaccinated over 129,000 people against cholera.
District Commissioner Precious Njekwa says this means the district has managed to vaccinate 100 percent of the target population.
Ms. Njekwa says Chililabombwe has, in the last 24 hours, recorded two new cholera cases.
She says one is from Kasumbalesa and the other from Lubengele.
Ms. Njekwa told ZNBC News in Kitwe that the cumulative total number of cholera cases now stands at 211.
She further said that in the last 24 hours, one person has been discharged.
Ms. Njekwa said the total number of deaths for the district still remains seven, all of which are community deaths.
