Chililabombwe receives ballot papers for Kawama by-election

Chililabombwe District has received ballot papers for the upcoming Kawama By-Elections, scheduled to take place this Friday, December 20.

Addressing Stakeholders who included participating political parties at the Council, Chililabombwe District Electoral Officer -DEO- SHILLA SONGOLO said  all Poll Staff have been trained and the district stands ready for Poll Day.

Stakeholders present during the receipt of the Ballot Papers include Socialist Party UPND, Faith Based Organisations, Civil Society Organisations and Members from the Independent Party.

The by-elections come as a result of the demise of the late Councillor for Kawama Ward GETRUDE WITOLA, who was also the Deputy Mayor for Chililabombwe.

This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by Chililabombwe Municipal Council Public Relations Manager NAMBELA KYOMBELA.
