By Ruth Chayinda
Agriculture Minister REUBEN MTOLO has urged soya beans farmers in the country to increase production as an available market has been established in China.
Mr. MTOLO says this follows the signing of the phytosanitary regulations to enable the export of soya beans to China.
He says currently the country produces between 400,000 to 600,000 metric tonnes of soya beans which should now be increased to one million metric tonnes .
He said this in an interview with journalists in China on the sidelines of the just ended FOCAC Summit.
And Chinese Ambassador HAN JING, at a press briefing, said his Government has pledged to grant duty free treatment to products from Zambia.
