Chipata woman raped and murdered
A 38-year-old woman of Chipata’s Mchini compound has been raped and murdered by unknown people.
Police picked up the body of MIRIAM CHUNGA in an unfinished structure near a bar.
Eastern Province police commanding officer ROBERTSON MWEEMBA says police found pieces of clothes near her body.
He says police also picked up a coat near the crime scene which they believe belonged to the assailants.
Mr. MWEEMBA said investigations are still on-going.
