Chisamba Expects Bumper Harvest

Chisamba District in Central Province is expected to record a bumper harvest following the good rainfall and proper input utilization by farmers.

Chisamba District Marketing Development Officer BERNADETTE CHILESHE says this is due to the over 16,000 farmers that received inputs under the Farmer input support program – FISP- while 68 farmers benefited from Sustainable Agriculture Financial Facility
SAFF in the 2024/2025 farming season.

Speaking during a field visit in Momboshi Agricultural Camp, Mrs CHILESHE said the ministry expects farmers to sell their Maize to FRA after harvesting because of the signed bond agreement.

Momboshi Camp Agricultural Extension Officer MULOYI DAKA is happy that farmers in his camp utilized the farming inputs received from government according to the intended purpose.
