Chitimukulu asks leaders to unite against the drought

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of Northern Province has called on national leaders to unite and fight the drought together with the government.
Paramount Chief Chitimukulu says it is disappointing to see national leaders issuing divisive statements and politicizing the drought.
Speaking when Special Assistant to the President for Political Affairs, Levy Ngoma, paid a courtesy call on him at his residence in Kasama, Paramount Chief Chitimukulu said a national crisis should unite the whole country.
The traditional leader has urged national leaders to work with the government to find solutions to the drought as opposed to inciting the public.
Paramount Chief Chitimukulu has called for the establishment of a seed manufacturing plant in the Northern Province.
Paramount Chief Chitimukulu said the region currently has a shortage of seed which mostly comes from Mkushi District.
Meanwhile, Paramount Chief Chitimukulu has credited President Hakainde Hichilema for fulfilling his promise to rehabilitate Kasama Airport.
Paramount Chief Chitimukulu said the President assured him during the last Ukusefya Pangwena Traditional Ceremony that he would work on the airport, which he has since delivered.
