Cholera cases rise in Nakonde District

Three more Cholera patients have been admitted to the Urban Clinic Treatment Centre in Nakonde District.
This brings the total number of patients to ten.
Among the patients, are six males and four females including an 8 year old girl.
Muchinga Province Health Director DAVID SILWELA has confirmed the cases.
Dr. SILWELA says the patients are stable and receiving medical treatment.
He adds that more medical staff will be attached to the facility.
And Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary HENRY MUKUNGULE says security measures have been intensified at all entry points.
The Permanent Secretary was speaking when he visited the Cholera treatment centre in Nakonde this morning.
