
Clerk of the National Assembly ROY NGULUBE has died

Clerk of the National Assembly of Zambia ROY NGULUBE has died.
Mr. NGULUBE died after an illness in Tashkent, Uzbekistan where he was on Official duty.
Speaker of the National Assembly NELLY MUTTI has announced the death of Mr. NGULUBE to ZNBC in a statement.
The Clerk had accompanied Ms. MUTTI on official duty where she is attending the 150th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly and related meeting.
And the National Assembly is shocked and saddened by the death of Mr. NGULUBE and acknowledges his distinguished service to the nation.
Mr. NGULUBE joined the National Assembly on April 15, 2002 and rose through the ranks.
He served as Assistant Committee Clerk, Executive Assistant to the Secretary General of the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum from 2006 to 2008 and Executive Assistant to the Speaker from 2009 to 2015.
Mr. NGULUBE served as Deputy Clerk procedure from 2016 to 2017 and Deputy Clerk Administration from 2017 to 2022.
He was later appointed Clerk of the National Assembly of Zambia in September 2023, the position he held until his death.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News in LUSAKA by Deputy Clerk Administration LOVENESS MAYAKA.
