Copper Queens Players Off to Paris for Olympics

The first batch of Copper Queens players have left the country for France ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic games which starts on July 26,2024.
The 13 players in the company of three technical staff left the country at 15:00 hours aboard a commercial flight at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
And speaking when addressing the team at the Airport, FAZ President ANDREW KAMANGA said the required support will be given to the team as they embark on their Olympics journey.
KAMANGA hopes the team will utilize the 12 day camp which has two friendly games to adequately prepare for the games.
He has since urged the team to do better at the 2024 Edition as compared to their first outing in Japan where they exited the competition in the group stage.
And, Copper Queens Coach BRUCE MWAPE has thanked the Association for the help rendered to the team during their local training camp.
MWAPE said the players and technical bench know what is at stake and will strive to deliver good results.
Meanwhile, Copper Queens Striker RACHEAL NACHULA said the players are in high spirits and are eager to favourably represent the country.
Notable among some of the players that have left are defenders MARTHA TEMBO, PAULINE ZULU, midfielders AVELL CHITUNDU, HELLEN CHANDA and striker OCHUMBA OSEKE.
