Council Workers Warned Against Frustrating Development
Local Government Service Commission has warned Council workers against frustrating governments’ development agenda.
Commission Vice Chairperson BRIAN NDUMBA says those who will be found wanting will be fired.
Mr. NDUMBA expressed sadness that the bad attitude of some workers in local authorities was affecting the utilisation of CDF.
He wondered why some projects are not being done despite government providing all the resources.
He said this when he paid a courtesy call on North Western Province Permanent Secretary Colonel GRANDSON KATAMBI in Solwezi.
Meanwhile, Colonel KATAMBI said procurement officers in some local authorities are demanding ten percent of the project sum once a contract is awarded.
