Court Adjourns Edith Nawakwi’s Case Due to Illness

The matter where Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) President Edith Nawakwi is charged with abduction and threatening violence has been adjourned to February 17, 2025.

The matter has been adjourned on the grounds that Ms. Nawakwi is unwell.

Ms. Nawakwi’s lawyer, Tresford Chali, disclosed Ms. Nawakwi’s condition before Lusaka Resident Magistrate Amy Masoja.

This is in a matter where Ms. Nawakwi is charged with abduction and threatening violence for allegedly abducting some members of the Hatembo family in 2020.
