DCs told to open maize sales to other vulnerable families

Government has directed all District Commissioners to ensure that households which were left out from initial lists of those to access maize through the Food Reserve Agency -FRA –community sales are allowed to access the commodity.
Chief Government Spokesperson CORNELIUS MWEETWA says this is important because the desire of the government is that all eligible citizens are allowed to access the maize to avert hunger arising from poor rains.
Mr MWEETWA was speaking in Choma today during the burial of a senior citizen, JOSIAS NKAADANI in Siasikabole area.
Mr MWEETWA, who is also Minister of Information and we said President Hichilema has insisted that no Zambian should die of hunger during the current drought.
