DEC Nabs ‘Lesa na Satana’ Cartel Members

Members of a notorious drug trafficking Cartel operating under Facebook Pages themed “Ichipanda Alliance” and “Lesa na Satana” have been apprehended by the Drug Enforcement Commission –DEC.

The cartel has allegedly been featuring videos on social media platforms disrespecting Law Enforcement Officers and the Zambian Government.

In a statement to ZNBC news, DEC Public Relations Officer ALLAN TAMBA said the persons behind the cartel were apprehended in connection with illicit drug trafficking offences during an operation conducted in Kansenshi on the Copperbelt.

Mr. TAMBA said the suspects were jointly apprehended for trafficking in 98 satchets of compressed high-grade cannabis with a total weight of 7.5 kilogrammes and 39 bottles of Benylin with Codeine.

He said the commission has also arrested 3 other males aged between 29 and 31 in Connection with drug trafficking.
