Delimitation Key to Development — NKANDU

UPND Deputy Spokesperson ELVIS NKANDU says the delimitation of constituencies will help deliver development closer to the people.
Mr. NKANDU says currently, some constituencies are too vast making it difficult for Members of Parliament to effectively represent the people.
He says the proposed constitution amendment has nothing to do with the term of office for the presidency, but the delimitation of constituencies.
Mr. NKANDU says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA respects the rule of law and has no intention of extending the term of office, as alleged by some members of the opposition.
Speaking during Sunday Interview, Mr. NKANDU dismissed claims that the government may include some other clauses as they amend the constitution on the delimitation of constituencies.
He said government wants to reduce the size of vast constituencies in order to effectively develop the country.
