ECZ suspends continuous registration of voters in Kabwe

Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ- has suspended the continuous registration of voters in Kabwe district.

The suspension is due to the by-election in Luangwa Ward of Kabwe district which is scheduled to be conducted on the November 4th, 2024.

ECZ Senior Corporate Affairs Officer, SYLVIA BWALYA says the suspension is in line with the provisions of section of electoral process Act.

In a statement released to ZNBC News, Ms BWALYA said during the period the voter registration centres will be closed.

She however said the Voter registration will re-open on Monday, November 11, 2024.
