Eden University sponsors Women’s Super League

The Zambian Premier League and Eden University have signed a three million Kwacha sponsorship deal for the Women’s Super League.

The deal that sees the Women’s League get a sponsor for the first time will run from 2024 to 2027 football season.

Speaking during the signing ceremony Acting Sports Minister MAKOZO CHIKOTE said sport is a tool for economic growth and development.

At the same event Zambian Premier League Chairperson KEPHAS KATONGO said the partnership presents an opportunity to elevate the status of women’s football in Zambia.

And Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- President ANDREW KAMANGA has reaffirmed the FA’s commitment to supporting women’s football through such partnerships.

Meanwhile, Eden University Vice Chancellor ALVERT N’GANDU said the university is introducing programs that sport inclined and will be aimed at supporting women’s football.
