Education is the best equalizer –HH

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Government will continue to prioritise investment in the education sector to advance the country’s development.
President HICHILEMA says this is why Government prioritised debt restructuring so that more resources can be channeled into the education sector as it is a human right.
He says his Government understands that prioritizing education is not only the best equalizer but an investment and inheritance that one can have.
President HICHILEMA was speaking when he officiated at the 16th graduation ceremony for Mulungushi University in Kabwe.
And President HICHILEMA challenged the University to keep revising the curriculum to meet the growing needs of the Country while incorporating entrepreneurship skills.
Mulungushi University Chancellor OLIVER SAASA commended Government for coming up with educational reforms that are enhancing human resource capacities.
Professor SAASA urged Government to continue prioritizing the education sector in the country to respond to the rising challenges such as climate change.
He also challenged the graduates to be innovative and find solutions to the problems that the country is facing.
Meanwhile University Vice Chancellor ROYSON MUKWENA commended Government and President HICHILEMA for the support rendered to the institution.
Professor MUKWENA explained that of the 12,500 students enrolled at the institution, Government supports over 6,000 with student loans and bursaries.
