Education key for HH
By Ahmed Mwape
Kasempa Member of Parliament Brenda Tambatamba says education remains one of the key factors on President Hakainde Hichilema’s agenda to develop the country.
Ms. Tambatamba says this can be attested by improvements taking place at most schools not only in her constituency but countrywide.
Ms. Tambatamba, who is also the Labour and Social Security Minister, made these remarks after touring Nkenyaunda Day Secondary School, where a new one-by-two laboratory block has been constructed at a cost of 1.6 million Kwacha in Nkenyaunda Ward under the 2022 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
The lawmaker said CDF is helping uplift people’s lives and is not just a mere campaign catchphrase because the works are there to be seen.
Nkenyaunda Day Secondary School Head Michael Sakangende says the completion of the laboratory block will cut down on costs the school administration was spending for pupils to do their practicals at far-flung schools.
School head girl Namfukwe Tikumbuke said the learner population is elated with the development and looking forward to the 2025 school academic calendar.
