Elephants have invaded and destroyed crops at the David Livingstone College of Education-DALICE -gardens.
DALICE vice Principal KASHUMBA KABOMBO has told ZNBC News that the elephants have destroyed crops worth more than 15,000 Kwacha.
Dr. KABOMBO said the elephants raided the school campus on Wednesday around 21:00 hours.
He said he is aware of the human-animal conflict in the city due to the effects of the drought which has resulted in no food for animals in the national park.
Dr. KASHUMBA appealed to the Department of National Parks and Wildlife to engage the institution on how best they can collaborate to avoid such losses.
