Esther Lungu applies for leave against Economic and Financial Crimes Court’s verdict

Former First Lady ESTHER LUNGU has filed an application for leave to appeal against the Economic and Financial Crimes Court ‘s verdict not to allow her to cross examine state witnesses in a matter where she is charged of possessing 15 flats deemed to be proceeds of crime.
Mrs. LUNGU has applied for leave to appeal in the Court of Appeal.
She appeared before the Court Appeal today with her lawyers.
Last week, Mrs. LUNGU 15 flats, located in LUSAKA’s State lodge areas were forfeited to the state following the Economic and Financial Crimes Court’s Order.
