
EU donates equipment to Lands Ministry

The European Union -EU- has handed over assorted survey and ICT equipment, worth over 35-million kwacha, to the Ministry of Lands.
The equipment is meant to enhance the implementation of the 4-year Land Governance and Management Systems project.
EU Head of Delegation to Zambia, KAROLINA STASIAK says the support will help the Ministry achieve a modern and inclusive framework based on updated and quality data.
Ms. STASIAK has explained that the equipment will be used to obtain quality data on land, and ensure storage of the updated statistics.
And Lands Minister, SYLVIA MASEBO has thanked the EU for the equipment, which includes servers, computers, scanners, printers, among others.
Ms. MASEBO said the assorted ICT equipment will facilitate the installation of Continuous Operating Stations, which will now make land surveying more efficient and also generate data in real time.
