Ex-Convict defiles a 9 Year old Girl of Mazabuka
A nine-year-old girl from Nkambika Compound in Mazabuka has allegedly been defiled by a man from the same area, identified as Victor Mabebo, an ex-convict.
The victim’s mother, who reported the matter to Mazabuka Central Police, stated that the girl was sent to purchase something in Stage 2 Compound, where she encountered the suspect.
The mother further reported that the suspect offered the victim 2 Kwacha before luring her to his house, where he allegedly defiled her.
The victim’s mother was alerted by the suspect’s neighbor, who suspected wrongdoing after observing unusual behavior from the victim.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Auxensio Daka.
Mr. Daka stated that no arrest has been made yet, adding that investigations are ongoing to locate and apprehend the suspect.
