
Fake Medical Fitness Certificates Get 5 Solwezi Men Arrested
Five people have been arrested in Solwezi, North-Western province, in connection with the production of counterfeit medical fitness certificates.
These certificates are only supposed to be issued by the Occupational Health and Safety Institute, after a medical examination.
Institute Public Relations Officer, Elezeti Nyambi has confirmed the development in a statement availed to ZNBC news in Lusaka.
The five suspects have been identified as Jonathan Kapusu , of Kimasala area, Joseph Kainda , of Kyawama township, and Josphat Kalolu, John Mapulanga as well as Sipalo Wamulume all of Muzabula area.
Ms Nyambi says the suspects were apprehended after investigations found that they were luring unsuspecting people to get fake certificates at the price of 400 Kwacha.
She has explained that two of the suspects have been behind the production of the fake medical fitness certificates while three are clients and users of the counterfeit documents.
