Federation of the blind want Access to Information Act in Braille

Zambia National Federation of the Blind President, MANEX NGWIRA has called on the government to transcribe the Access to information Act into braille.
Mr MWILA says this will enable the visually impaired to appreciate the law and participate in national affairs effectively.
He said this when he paid a courtesy call on Information and Media Permanent Secretary THABO KAWANA at his office today.
And, Federation Vice President LAZAROUS HAKALEBULA has called on the Government to introduce training programmes that will enable the visually impaired to also acquire skills and actively participate in the economic growth.
And Mr. KAWANA said the government working with its cooperating partners will consider translating the Access to information Act into braille .
Mr KAWANA said through translating the law into Braille, the visually impaired will not be left behind in the country’s development agenda.
