Finland offers to address chemical Pollution in the Kafue River
The government of Finland has pledged to support Zambia with advanced technology, aimed at addressing chemical pollution in the Kafue river.
Finnish Ambassador to Zambia, SAANA HALINEN says her government has taken keen interest in the issue, as part of its humanitarian aid initiatives.
Ms HALINEN made the remarks when she paid a courtesy call on Fisheries and Livestock Minister, PETER KAPALA at his office in Lusaka.
And Mr KAPALA has welcomed the support, adding that the current situation has caused so much damage, resulting in the suspension of fishing activities on the Kafue river.
