First Lady Donates Wheelchairs to Independence Struggle Contributors
ZANIS -First Lady Mutinta Hichilema has donated wheelchairs to two women in Lusaka’s New Kasama area, who contributed to the independence struggle.
The wheelchairs have been donated to Susan Shikuboni and Mutinta Choopa in commemoration of Women’s Week.
Speaking during the handover, UPND Chairman General for Special Duties, William Banda, says the donation is in recognition of the two women’s contribution to the country during first President Kenneth Kaunda’s administration.
Mr. Banda has urged United Party for National Development (UPND) leaders to work for the people.
The two beneficiaries, Susan Shikuboni and Mutinta Choopa, have expressed gratitude to the First Lady for remembering them with such a gesture.
