First two gold mining Centres under construction

Construction of the first two Gold Mining Centers in Rufunsa and Mumbwa districts has started.

Mines and Minerals Development Minister PAUL KABUSWE says the centres are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Mr. KABUSWE says Government has appointed ZAMGOLD LIMITED as a Gold aggressor to be buying Gold from the formalised gold markets.

He said this in a statement delivered in the National Assembly on the developments in the mining sector.

Mr. KABUSWE said the development will help to curb illegal mining in the country.
