FISP Farmers told to verify phone numbers

The Ministry of Agriculture has called on farmers who are struggling to access the Farmer Input Support Programme -FISP- to verify and update their phone numbers.

This is under the Zambia Integrated Agricultural Management Information System -ZIAMIS, a system that houses the Farmer Register.

In a Ministerial Statement today in the National Assembly, Agriculture Minister REUBEN MTOLO said affected farmers whose numbers are appearing as invalid or incorrect should verify and update their phone numbers or obtain new phone numbers which are registe
ed in their names .

Mr. MTOLO said the farmers should thereafter notify the District Agricultural Co-ordinators Offices through Agriculture Camp Extension Officers.

Meanwhile, Mr MTOLO said that the Ministry is strongly advocating for early planting in susceptible regions.
