FQM buys seeds for 3,000 Kalumbila farmers

Three thousand farmers in Senior Chief Musele’s chiefdom of Kalumbila District will receive farming inputs worth 13 million Kwacha.

This is after First Quantum Minerals -FQM- Trident limited announced it had bought seeds to support over 3,000 farmers in the District.

Speaking at the flagging off ceremony, Trident Limited Assistant General Manager FREDERIC WOUTERS says the support is a significant investment aimed at helping farmers enhance their productivity.

And Health Minister ELIJAH MUCHIMA says the initiative by the mine is supplementing government efforts in achieving food security at household level.
