
FQM starts Careers Fair

First Quantum Minerals Limited has introduced a Careers Fair to guide learners on industry insights, and skills development opportunities in the mining industry.
Speaking at the Careers fair in Lusaka, First Quantum Minerals Director ANTHONY MUKUTUMA said it is important for pupils to have an understanding of careers they want to pursue.
Mr. MUKUTUMA says the initiative is designed to bridge the gap between learners and industry professionals to make informed career decisions.
And First Quantum Minerals Government Relations Specialist MWIZA MALILA says it is important for pupils to familiarize themselves with the mining sector.
And Ministry of Education Principal Education Standards Officer BEENZU MWANASHIMBALA thanked First Quantum Minerals for coming up with such an initiative to help students as they choose their careers.
REBECCA NKHOMA and MAPALO CHILESHE both students from Arakan Girls Secondary School, and Arakan Boys Secondary School respectively thanked First Quantum Minerals for the Careers Fair program.
The Fair attracted 25 schools from Lusaka.
